Soccer Dad (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is a youth sports team management app for coaches and parents. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Information We Collect
Account Data
When you create an account, we collect your email address and an authentication identifier. This is used solely for account access and authentication.
Team Data
You provide team information including team names, player names, shirt numbers, positions, and contact information for parents and guardians. Player profile photos may also be uploaded. This data is used to provide the core team management functionality of the app.
Game Data
During game tracking, we collect scores, playing time, event logs (goals, fouls, substitutions), and rotation data. This data is used for game management, statistics, and summaries.
Photos and Documents
When you use the schedule import or roster import features, photos you provide are sent to our servers for processing. Player profile photos are stored with your team data.
Subscription and Purchase Data
If you subscribe to Soccer Dad Premium, Apple processes your payment. We receive a transaction identifier and subscription status from Apple to manage your access to premium features. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
Analytics and Diagnostics
We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the app is used and to identify crashes and bugs. This data includes app usage events, device type, OS version, and crash reports. Analytics data is not linked to your identity for advertising purposes.
AI Features and Third-Party AI Providers
Soccer Dad offers optional AI-powered features including game summaries, practice plans, lineup suggestions, play explanations, and image generation. These features require your explicit consent before any data is sent to AI providers. You can enable or disable AI features at any time in the app settings.
When you use AI features, relevant data is sent to the following third-party providers:
- Anthropic (Claude) — Processes text-based AI features such as game summaries, practice plans, lineup suggestions, play explanations, player development notes, and season reports.
- OpenAI — Processes image generation (team logos) and image analysis (schedule and roster photo import).
Data sent to AI providers is used solely to generate your requested result. It is not used to train AI models. Only the minimum data necessary for each feature is sent (for example, player first names and game statistics for a game summary — not contact information or other unrelated data).
How We Store Your Data
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on Amazon Web Services). All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to your team data is restricted using row-level security policies — only members of your team can access your team’s data.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI) — only when you use AI features and have given explicit consent.
- Firebase (Google) — anonymous analytics and crash reporting data.
- Supabase — our database and authentication provider, which stores your account and team data.
Your Rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at the email below. You can also delete your account from within the app, which will remove your personal data from our systems.
Children’s Privacy
Soccer Dad is designed for use by coaches and parents to manage youth sports teams. The app is not intended for use by children under 13. Player information is entered and managed by adult coaches and parents, not by the players themselves.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes through the app or by email. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
